PayPal erroneously credits customer $92 quadrillion

WASHINGTON – A PayPal customer got the billing statement of a lifetime.

On paper at least, he briefly became a quadrillionaire.

CNN reports that the online payment service had subtracted more than $92 quadrillion from the Pennsylvania man’s $140 account balance. But when he logged into to check his account online, it showed his balance was $0.

He didn’t owe anything but he wasn’t able to pay off the United State’s entire $16 trillion debt either.

CNN reports that PayPal admitted the error.
