Gov. McDonnell’s son arrested in Charlottesville

WASHINGTON – Gov. Bob McDonnell’s son, Sean McDonnell, was arrested in Charlottesville Saturday.

The Richmond Times-Dispatch reports that he was charged with public swearing and intoxication, a Class 4 misdemeanor punishable by a maximum $250 fine.

He was released on his own recognizance, the Times-Dispatch reports, and is scheduled to appear in court in August. He and his twin brother Bobby will both be seniors at the University of Virginia this fall.
