Gansler To Make Gubernatorial Run Official In September — Maryland Attorney General and Bethesda resident Doug Gansler plans to announce his bid in September. Montgomery County To Take Over Operation Of Animal Shelter — The Animal Services Division of the Montgomery County Police Department will take over operation of the shelter this fall when it moves into a new facility in Derwood. White Flint Mall Post Office Is Moving, But Where? — USPS officials will meet with White Flint residents on July 10 to discuss moving the post office in the White Flint Mall, soon to be redeveloped. A USPS official said the agency is looking for a 1,200-square-foot retail space as close as possible to its White Flint Mall location, which actually has a Kensington zip code. [The Gazette]
