The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for the entire D.C. area in advance of storms expected Monday night.

The Tornado Watch is in effect until 10 p.m.

A Tornado Watch is issued when weather conditions are favorable for the development of severe thunderstorms that are capable of producing tornadoes.
