SBA offers tools for new entrepreneurs

WASHINGTON – Trying to start a business can be hard, especially for recent graduates. But a number of free online tools can help.

The Small Business Administration offers several services, including a 30-minute online course to teach young entrepreneurs the basics.

The agency also offers a number of quick tip sheets ranging from building a business plan to sizing up potential competition, and can help connect aspiring business owners with mentors in the community.

If student loans are getting in the way, entrepreneurs may be eligible to take advantage of income-based repayment plans.
