Capital Teas coming to Merrifield’s Mosaic District

Here’s another retail announcement for the Mosaic District in Merrifield: Capital Teas, the Annapolis-based tea shop with several locations throughout the Washington area, will open this fall, according to Mosaic’s Facebook page.

Capital Teas has locations in Bethesda Row, the Wildwood Shopping Center in Bethesda, D.C.’s Dupont Circle Georgetown, National Harbor and Annapolis. The business, owned by Peter and Manelle Martino, pulls from a family history of tea farming that goes back more than 120 years.

The tea boutiques offer more than 200 varieties of teas and a special “sniffing wall” where customers can test the aromas of the teas before purchasing.
