WASHINGTON — Beaverdam Bridge Road in Loudoun County is shut down while authorities work with a man they say is suicidal and sitting alone inside a car.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Hostage-Negotiations Unit is on the scene on the 20400 block between Jeb Stuart Road and Stone Manor Lane.

There is no immediate threat to the community, but residents have been asked to stay inside their home while authorities work with the man.
