Body pulled from Potomac near 14th Street Bridge

WASHINGTON (AP) – Authorities are investigating after a man’s body was pulled from the Potomac River near the 14th Street Bridge.

Metropolitan Police Department spokesman Araz Alali says police were called by U.S. Park Police about the body of an adult male around 10 a.m. Saturday. Alali says authorities have identified the man but are not releasing the name pending notification of the man’s family. He said there were no outward signs of trauma.

Alali says it appears the man was in the water at least several days.
