Icy Conditions Causing Traffic Problems

Photo via TrafficLand.comIcy conditions, especially on bridges, are causing traffic problems throughout Bethesda and the region during this morning’s commute.

All three lanes of southbound Rockville Pike over Montrose Parkway were temporarily closed before 8 a.m. as Montgomery County Police dealt with a collision.

Police requested salt trucks to help de-ice other bridges including the Fernwood Road overpass of the Beltway and Democracy Boulevard over I-270.

MCFRS also responded to a collision on the Beltway between Connecticut Avenue and Rockville Pike just after 8 a.m.
