Man killed by school bus in Gaithersburg

GAITHERSBURG, Md. – Police say a man has died after being struck by a school bus in Gaithersburg.

Montgomery County Police spokeswoman Angela Cruz says the 55-year-old man was crossing Clopper Road at Firstfield Road just before 6:30 a.m. when he was hit by the bus, which did not have any passengers. The man was not crossing in a crosswalk.

Clopper Road was closed between Firstfield Road and Metropolitan Grove Road for a few hours as a result. Police did not release the man’s name.
