Inova Health System opts to keep day-care centers open after protests

Inova Health System has backed down from its plan to close children-care centers at three of its hospitals following protests from employees, The Washington Post reported.

Inova has decided to keep the centers open at Inova Fair Oaks, Inova Fairfax and Inova Mount Vernon hospitals, with some changes.

The hospital system initially said it was closing the child-care centers because they were costing about $1 million a year.
