5:19 a.m. The Greater Bethesda area’s first storm-related power outages were reported around 2:40 a.m. in Glen Echo near Massachusetts Avenue and Mohican Road. About 40 customers there are without power. Estimated restoration is by 6 a.m. today, according to Pepco’s outage map.

4:58 a.m. Schools, all MCPS administrative officers and county government (with the exception of essential workers) are all closed today due to the snowstorm.

All school and community activities in school buildings are canceled.

All federal offices in the D.C. area are closed, emergency and telework-ready employees required to work must follow their agency’s policies.
