Watergate Exxon gas station closed for repairs

WASHINGTON – One of the most expensive gas stations in the area has closed for renovations.

Pictures on Twitter showed the sign had been taken down from in front of the Watergate Exxon, which is known throughout the country for its steep prices.

Reports on Friday suggested the filling station was closed for good, but owner Joe Mamo told Washington City Paper that is not the case.

“It’s closed for renovation,” he said.
