Exorcist hotline set up in Milan

WASHINGTON – Here’s a story that’ll make your head spin.

The Catholic Church set up an exorcist hotline in Milan after requests doubled over the past 15 years, The Independent reports.

According to The Independent, the diocese’s chief exorcist Monsignor Angelo Mascheroni told the ChiesadiMilano website some priests are seeing as many as 120 people a day, increasing the number of exorcists on-call from six to 12.

Mascheroni says not all of the possessions are legitimate, and might be explained by parents having difficulty controlling teenagers.

Milan is the church’s biggest diocese.
