WASHINGTON – A motorcyclist and pedestrian were killed in an accident Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened at about 3:45 p.m. near the intersection of Branch Avenue and St. Barnabas Road in Prince George’s County.

Joe Nathan Evans, 40, of Lorton, Va., was riding on a motorcycle when it struck Harry Lee, 64, of Clifton, Md.

Lee was pronounced dead on the scene. Evans was taken to the hospital where he also died.

Cpl. Larry Johnson, Prince George’s County police spokesman, says the pedestrian appeared to be homeless and that he was not in a crosswalk.
