Breast Cancer Awareness Month. To give it a good start Susan G. Komen for the Cure held it’s 3rd annual “Honoring The Promise Gala” in the Eisenhower Theatre of the Kennedy Center. Money raised will continue to support efforts in cutting-edge medical research and community health, including a major project in Southeast D.C. in Wards 7 and 8, communities with the highest breast cancer mortality rates in the nation.
