Shooting at Laurel gas station

LAUREL, Md. – A gas station employee was shot in the arm while trying to stop a robbery Saturday night.

Laurel Police say it happened around 8:30 p.m. at the Exxon on Old Sandy Spring Road. The clerk threw a chair after a man came into the station and demanded money.

The clerk is now in stable condition and is fully expected to survive.

It’s not yet clear if any money was taken.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 30s, with a medium complexion. He’s about 6 feet tall, heavy set, with a beard. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a white t-shirt, tan shorts, and a red baseball hat with a white “A” printed on it, possibly an Anaheim Angels logo.

Laurel Police are asking anyone with information to call 301-498-0092.
