WASHINGTON – Rep. Kevin Yoder, R-Kan., has apologized for skinny dipping in Biblical waters.

Politico reports numerous Republican freshmen lawmakers and top leadership staff were enjoying a night out in Israel, when they took a late night dip in the Sea of Galilee.

More than 20 people took part in the late-night dip. Some participants went into the water fully clothed.

Yoder ditched all his clothing. He called the move to go without a swimsuit “spontaneous.”

“It is my greatest honor to represent the people of Kansas in Congress and [for] any embarrassment I have caused for my colleagues and constituents, I apologize,” Yoder said in a statement to Politico.
