Police ID victims in 2 separate crashes in Prince William

WASHINGTON – Prince William County police have identified the two people who died in separate crashes in the western end of the county on Sunday.

Damien Banks, 19, of Gainesville was hit by a car as he tried to cross Lee Highway near Old Carolina Road just before 6 a.m. Sunday. He died of his injuries in a local hospital. No charges have been filed against the driver of the car.

Randy Lane, 46, of Bristow, died after he lost control of his motorcycle just after 6 a.m. Sunday. He hit a tree while traveling on Bristow Road near Independent Hill in Brentsville. He was pronounced dead on the scene. Police initially reported that Lane was 56, but later corrected his age to 46 in a press release.
