WASHINGTON – Both ramps to I-66 from the Inner Loop have reopened after an overturned truck shut them down for several hours on Friday.

The wreckage occurred just after 3 p.m. on the ramp to the eastbound lanes of the interstate. Authorities were forced to close all access to I-66 while they cleared the roadways.

Traffic was moving freely by 6:30 p.m.
