5-month-old baby, SUV recovered in Pr. George’s

WASHINGTON – Police have recovered the infant in the SUV carjacked in Southeast D.C. Tuesday morning.

The white 2007 Acura MDX with Oklahoma plates “870 BYZ” was found on Rail Street in the Capitol Heights area of Prince George’s County, Md. with a baby boy inside, according to D.C. police. It was roughly a mile away from where it was stolen in the 3800 block of Suitland Road, near Southern Avenue in Southeast. See map below.

Prince George’s Fire and EMS confirm the boy appears to be unharmed and are not planning to take him to the hospital.

Police have deployed a blood hound to track down the suspect.

Initial reports stated the vehicle was heading into Prince George’s. Police employed air support to search for the car.

The infant was wearing a white sleeper with brown sleeves, a police spokesman says.
