The 25 most dangerous D.C. intersections for pedestrians

WASHINGTON – Some of you call them the mean streets — dangerous intersections where cars and pedestrians compete for time and space.

The District Department of Transportation is out with a list of the 25 most dangerous intersections.

Some of them include North Capitol at H Street and New York Avenue, East Capitol at Benning Road, and South Capitol at Southern Avenue and at Mississippi Avenue.

Also 14th Street is a major hot spot, including intersections at I, K, and U Streets, along with Columbia and Irving Streets Northwest.
