Hit-and-run leaves Laurel pedestrian in critical condition

WASHINGTON – A pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries on Wednesday afternoon after he was hit by a truck — which fled the scene — in Laurel.

Police say the man was walking down Route 198 around 2 p.m. when he was hit by a white truck and knocked about 20 feet.

Police are looking for the truck, which they say is white and should have heavy damage to its front right side.

Anyone with information is asked to call Laurel Police at (301) 498-0092.
