WASHINGTON – Strong storms blew through the D.C. area Friday afternoon, knocking out power to a few thousand homes and businesses. But power was restored to almost everybody by Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for most of the area until 6 p.m.

Temperatures reached highs in the low-70s on Friday afternoon, but it’s a different story Saturday. Highs today are only expected to be in the mid to upper 40s, and there were a few snow flurries in parts of the area Saturday morning.

On Sunday, the wind will diminish and the skies will be mostly sunny. Temperatures will be in the upper-40s, climbing back into the 50s on Monday.

The unstable, chilly weather is a far cry from the 70 degree temperatures the region enjoyed earlier this week.
