George Harrison fans, see his guitars up close

The guitars of the late George Harrison carry a lot of musical history, and Harrison’s only son Dhani wants to share some of that history with his father’s fans.

While he can’t let people play those guitars, he introduced an iPad app that lets people see 360-degree studies of the guitars and multi-media presentations. The app costs $9.99.

Dhani Harrison tells The New York Times the guitars were like members of his family.

“If anyone needs anyone to look after a psychedelic piano, give it to me,” he jokes. “I know what to do with it.”

George Harrison died in 2001.

Meanwhile, Beatles fans can now really say “Hello, Goodbye” with their phones.

More than two dozen Beatles songs are now available as ringtones on iTunes. They include “Love Me Do,” “Hey Jude “and one Ringo-tone, “Yellow Submarine.”
