Firefighter injured in Bethesda home fire

WASHINGTON – A fire in Bethesda has forced a family out of their home and also injured a firefighter.

Montgomery County Fire says it happened around 6 p.m. on Greentree Road, near the intersection of Bradmoor Drive.

The fire was quickly put out, but the family will not be able to return inside.

The Red Cross is helping them find temporary shelter.

One firefighter suffered some minor injuries while trying to put the fire out.

He was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
