Who asks the most when buying cars?

Kristi King, wtop.com

WASHINGTON – When shopping for cars, you might think men ask the toughest questions, but it’s women who do the most digging.

A review of customer questions and correspondence by LeaseTrader.com finds women value a vehicle’s maintenance, accident history and safety more than men do. Men ask more about performance, aesthetics and technology.

When it comes to third-party vehicle inspections before a purchase, men require them more than half the time (54.5 percent). Women want them 67.2 percent of the time.

Sergio Stiberman, chief executive officer of LeaseTrader.com, tells Autonet the data reveal “a deepening relationship between women and cars.”
