WASHINGTON – Do you feel a little stiff when you stand up? Do you think teachers and doctors look too young? Welcome to the camp of feeling old.
An insurance industry survey asked 50- to 60 year olds to list their symptoms of old age.
Falling asleep in front of the TV ranked No. 1, followed by groaning when you bend down.
Here are the top 10 signs of old age, according to Engage Mutual Insurance:
- Falling asleep in front of the TV
- Groaning when you bend down
- Feeling stiff when you stand up
- Forgetting people’s names
- Struggling to use technology
- Hairy ears, nose, face or eyebrows
- Thinking teachers, cops and doctors look too young
- Not knowing any current hit songs
- Hating noisy bars
- Losing your hair
The under-50 crowd also relates to at least part of the list, with some feeling over the hill at 29.
